“Good News”

The Good News of Jesus Christ

Quick Answer

Columbia Presbyterian Church proclaims the "Good News" that God created humanity for fellowship, but sin caused separation, deserving divine wrath. This "Good News" centers on Jesus Christ, who, being fully God and man, lived a perfect life, died to bear human punishment, and rose victorious over sin and death. Through faith alone in Christ alone, by grace alone, individuals receive forgiveness, new life, and a right standing with God. Columbia Presbyterian Church joyfully proclaims this Gospel and invites all to repent of sin and believe in Jesus as Savior and Lord.

The Good News of Jesus Christ

God created us for fellowship with Him, but our sin has separated us, deserving His just wrath. The Bible declares all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, lived the perfect life we could not, died bearing our punishment on the cross, and rose victorious over sin and death. Through faith alone in Christ alone, by grace alone, we receive forgiveness, new life, and right standing with God. Good works flow from salvation but cannot earn it. Repent of your sin, believe in Jesus as Savior and Lord, and be baptized into His church.

This is the Gospel—CPC joyfully proclaims it!
